Obituary

William "Gary" Cooper, age 75, of Powder Springs, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2014.

Graveside Service will be held Monday November 10th, 2014 at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia. Brother Snyder Turner will be officiating alongside the Department of Veteran Affairs.

He is survived by Clara Fay Cooper, his wife of fifty four years; two children, Rhonda (Ronny) and David (Robin), one grandson Ryan (Michelle), two grandsons Ryan and Austin, and one great granddaughter Emmalyn, two brothers one sister and several nieces and nephews.

Gary was a resident of Powder Springs for forty five years and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Through a year of battling cancer, his faith stayed strong and was a witness to others. Gary served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. After serving his country, he spent his time working in his yard, tinkering with electronics, and woodworking. He was truly loved by his family.

Family will receive friends from Sunday 6pm to 8pm at Bellamy's Funeral Home in downtown Powder Springs, Georgia. In lieu of flowers the family is asking that a donation be made to Calvary Children's Home in Powder Springs.
