Mr. Larry Pearson, age 76, of Powder Springs, GA passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2024.

Mr. Pearson was born on March 15, 1947 in Austell, GA to the late Mr. McSel Pearson and the late Mrs. Janette Harris Pearson. Larry graduated from Hiram High School in 1965. He worked at Eastern Air Lines as a ramp service engineer for 30 years. He also worked for Rhodes Furniture as a shuttle driver for 17 years. He was a member of Welcome Hill Baptist Church (formerly Revival Baptist Church in Powder Springs). Larry was a Classic Car Enthusiast and could be seen driving "Ol' Blue" around Powder Springs-but only if it wasn't raining! Larry was the President of the Powder Springs Push Rods since 2006 and served in that capacity multiple times during his 40 plus year membership. He was known for winning trophies for drag racing at Southeastern Dragway in Dallas, GA and cutting circles beside Vaughn's Restaurant in Hiram. He was also a member of the "Bubba Club" at Martin's. He was a loving husband, daddy, and gramps. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his grandson, Braxton Gaiters.

Survivors include his wife, Loretta Pearson of Powder Springs; daughters, Michelle Palmer (Dale) of Jefferson and Stephanie Gaiters (Damien) of Powder Springs; grandchildren, Brandon Gaiters, Hayden Palmer, and Breonna Gaiters; siblings, Sherry Willoughby (Dan) of Austell, Danny Pearson (Cheryl) of Powder Springs, and Darlene Brennan (Tim) of Dallas; as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 3:00pm from the Chapel of Bellamy Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Bellamy and Rev. Lamar Clarke. Interment to follow at Powder Springs Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 1:00pm until 3:00pm.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Calvary Children's Home.
