Mrs. Virginia Sewell Chafin, age 78, of Hiram, GA passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2024.

Mrs. Chafin was born on March 25, 1946 in Atlanta, GA to the late Mr. Charles Marion Sewell and the late Mrs. Bessie Lee Morris Sewell. Virginia worked as an executive secretary for AT&T, formally Bellsouth. She retired in 2008 after working for AT&T for 36 years. She was a resident of Austell for many years. Mrs. Chafin was an active member of Loyal Order of Moose. She enjoyed reading and loved her grandkids and her dog, Rosie.

Survivors include her son, Jeffrey Chafin (Heather) of Hiram; grandchildren, Colton John Chafin and Hunter Ray Chafin; sister, Marian Nuytens of Florida; niece, Janna Nuytens of Florida; as well as several cousins also survive.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 1:00pm from the Chapel of Bellamy Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Mount Harmony Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 11:00am until 1:00pm.
