Thomas E. (Nick) Easterwood, 80, of Dallas, GA passed away on June 30, 2015. He was born August 19, 1934 in Haralson County. He joined the United States Air Force in 1951 at the age 17. He served four years in the military and a year in Korea. He retired from Bellsouth in 1998 with 42 years of dedicated service and owned and operated Easterwood Electric, Inc. with his sons. Mr. Easterwood worked full time in his business after retiring from Bellsouth. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Patricia Arnold Easterwood, sons Danny (Kim) Easterwood of Dallas, GA and Brian Easterwood of Dallas, Daughter, Jennifer (Von) Rakestraw of Hiram; 4 Grandchildren, Amber (Kurt) Glover, John Cochran, Justin Cochran, and Caroline Rakestraw; 3 Sisters - Jackie Carr of Douglasville, Joyce Holland of Smyrna and Sue Ellen Conella of South Carolina; Brother - Billy (Annette) Easterwood of Douglasville; He was preceded in death by Brother Almos H. Easterwood, Jr., Sister Jody Lambert, and Nephews Tommy Easterwood, David Freeman, Tony Weathers, and Ricky Weathers. All of his friends at Bellsouth called him "Skinny". He was a wonderful, loving, generous husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He loved to tell jokes and he will leave a huge void in the lives of his family. He will be missed so very much.

Memorial Services will be held at Bellamy Funeral Home Hiram on Friday July 3rd at 11:00am in the chapel. Family will receive visitors from 10:00-11:00 am at the funeral home. Rev. Dennis Bellamy officiating. Entombment will follow at GA National Cemetery with a graveside service with military honors at 2:30pm.
