Mr. Thomas Shepherd Broadnax, age 78, of Dallas passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Mr. Broadnax was a member of Metropolitan Baptist Church in Newark, NJ. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. Louis Broadnax and Mrs. Leaveter Ada Beard Broadnax; his parents, Charles and Velma Johnson; and his brother, Michael Broadnax.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Broadnax of Dallas; daughters, Sonja Porter of Dallas, Yolander Jackson of Hertford, NC, Lakisha Green (Milton) of Dallas, Jennene Broadnax of Atlanta, and Christine Broadnax of Dallas; God-daughter, Charlene Anderson of Marietta; sisters, Lavetta Johnson of NY, Mildred Kimbrough of Plainfield, NJ, and Brenda Brown of Douglasville; cousins, Linda Broadnax of NJ, Maurice Broadnax of NJ, and Arnold Broadnax of NJ; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
