Steven James
Scheider
Dec 29, 1965 — Aug 8, 2022
Steven James Scheider, 56, passed away Monday, August 8, 2022.
Steve was born December 29, 1965 in Brooklyn NY to his beloved parents Paul and Aileen Scheider - with whom he is now having a cold beer in Heaven. The owner/operator of Scheider Fence Company, Steve loved spending time with his large and adoring family, fishing at Lake Allatoona and wood working. His numerous siblings and their children all proudly display his thoughtfully-crafted creations and will smile every time they look at them. Steve's heart was huge - which gave him extra room for his many friends, children with special needs, Habitat for Humanity, and St. Vincent de Paul. St Patrick's Day will never be the same for his friends and family without Steve, but there will be many toasts made to and stories shared about him for years to come.
Steve leaves behind his beloved wife, Brenda Scheider of Dallas; cherished daughter Aileen Scheider (Mark Sanders) of Dallas; stepdaughter Anndrea Melton (Daniel); two stepsons, Brody Henry of Marietta and Joseph Ours (Kayla) of Savannah and amazing stepmother Durinda Scheider of Dallas TX. The second of 6 children, Steve also leaves behind three sisters who delighted in torturing and entertaining him, Paula Scheider of Tulsa OK, Beth Ann Barnes (Brett) of Dallas TX and Jamie Scheider of Woodstock. His two brothers, David Scheider and Jeff Scheider (Courtney) of Austin TX will forever miss Steve's wit, friendship and good-natured teasing. His eulogy will be given by John Cunnane (Kris) of Tulsa OK, his lifelong best friend (and father of the incredible Sean Cunnane).
Another great joy in Steve's life was spending time with his aunts and uncles, John Griffin of Staten Island and James and Peggy Griffin of Penn Valley as well as Margaret Scheider of Parlin NJ and Margaret DeSantis (Ray) of New Bern NC. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia Brumbelow and stepson, Dustin Henry.
Another life goal was achieved when Steve became a grandfather to Maico, Aria and Kyro Sanders, Naomi Melton, David, Kelli and Kensington Ours. He loved and is loved by his nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, over 44 cousins and too many friends and extended family members to count. To say Steve will be missed by a multitude of people would be a serious understatement.
