Obituary

Stephen Lee Peacock passed away in the early morning, Tuesday, June 17, 2014, with his family surrounding him. An avid golf fan, he spent his last few days watching the U.S. Open on television. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Thesie Witt Peacock, daughters and sons in law, Jill and Tommy Pillow, Mindy and Francisco Perezcassar; grandchildren, Sofia and Francisoco Perezcassar, Jr., Nevyn Pillow; beloved nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents Frederick and Helen Peacock, sister and brother in law, Pegge and Bob Shaver, and brother, Phillip Peacock.
Born in 1941, in Rowan County, North Carolina. An Army veteran, he was a member of the 101st Airborne Division, serving during the Cuban missile crisis. Retired from SITA as a Senior Systems Analyst, he worked in data processing his entire career. He was an extremely talented individual, singing and writing songs from an early age. He enjoyed playing golf with his buddies, and spending time with his family. He will be sorely missed.
There will be a visitation on Friday, June 20th, at Bellamy Funeral Home, Hiram, Georgia, with internment at the National Cemetery, Salisbury, North Carolina at a later date.
