Mrs. Shirley Sanders age 77 of Dallas, Ga. passed away Monday, September 19, 2016 at Cobb Hospital
Funeral Services will be held Thursday September 22, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Bellamy Hiram Chapel. Rev. Dennis Bellamy officiating. Interment at Melrose Hills Memorial Gardens. The family will receive visitors Wednesday 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Shirley was born July 2, 1939 in Atlanta, Fulton County Ga. formerly of Powder Springs and having resided the last 42 years in Dallas, Ga. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Emory Spears Newberry and Fannie Hollifield, and Mr. Lester Lee Puckett, although an uncle by marriage, he was an adored and beloved father figure and grandfather to her and her children. Five brothers: George, Millard, Alvin, and Lee Newberry and William Earl (Sam) Mathews. One sister: Lulabell Harrell, Daughter-in-law: Kathy Ann McCoy Sanders and Son-in-law: David Allen Duncan.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Johnny Lewis Sanders. Two sons and daughter-in-law: Danny and Celda Sanders and Kevin Sanders all of Villa Rica, Two daughters and son-in-law: Darlene Duncan and Brenda and Scott Davis, all of Dallas. Grandchildren: Samantha and Dustin Wilcox, Andrew Davis, Brad and Lindsay Duncan and Robert Byers affectionately loved as a grandson. Four Great Grandchildren: Sarah, Jake, Nicholas and Delilah Wilcox. One Sister: Isabelle and Wesley Bagley of Forest Park. Nieces and Nephews
