Mrs. Shirley Marie Astin, age 86, of Hiram, GA passed away Thursday, April 17, 2025.

Mrs. Astin was born October 7, 1938 in Canton, GA to the late Mr. Dewey Andrews and the late Mrs. Mary Lou Jane Blankenship Andrews. Shirley worked as a registrar for Wellstar Cobb Hospital. In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Astin; brothers, Don Andrews and Wendell Andrews.

Survivors include her children, Chris Astin (Melissa) of Hiram, Hope Hurst of Dallas, and Faith Priest (Roger) of Rockmart; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 19, 2025 at 2:00pm from Cochran Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Rick Eaves officiating. Interment to follow at Cochran Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Astin will lie in state at the church on Saturday from 1:00pm until 2:00pm.
