Mr. Roy Preston Morgan Jr., age 67, of Powder Springs, GA passed away Thursday, April 17, 2025.

Mr. Morgan was born on August 24, 1957 in Canton, GA to the late Mr. Roy Preston Morgan Sr. and the late Mrs. Ruby Croy Morgan. Roy worked as an operations manager for Flint Group Manufacturing Inc. Preston was a member of the Hiram First Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, and also assisted with the sound management for the church. He was known as the grill master at home and for all events. His passion was cooking for other people and always making sure everyone was fed. He loved trying new recipes and having his wife be the guinea pig to make sure they tasted good. He loved the mountains, deer hunting with his dad, hallmark movies, and WWE wrestling. He loved practical jokes, loved his dogs, adored all his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and loved his wife immensely for 27 beautiful years. His soul was beautiful, but he now walks with Jesus and is with us all everyday.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Michael Morgan Sr.

Survivors include his wife, Patti Cosby Morgan of Powder Springs; children, Stephanie Carson (Eli) of Cartersville, Nicole Kidd (Ricky) of Dallas, Ashley Minardi of Cartesville, John M. Long III (Katie) of Woodstock, and Renee Jones (John) of Villa Rica; twelve grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025 from Hiram First Baptist Church at 4:30 p.m. with Reverend Joe Holcomb officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:30 until the service starts.
