Mr. Roy Clifton Jones, age 87, of Rockmart, GA passed away Sunday, December 15, 2024.

Mr. Jones was born on October 16, 1937 in Atlanta, GA to the late Mr. Lewis Alexander Jones and the late Mrs. Alice Mae Jefferies Jones. Roy was a self-employed contractor with Jones Construction and retired with Cobb County Parks and Recreation after working as a mechanic for twenty years. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his children, Shirley Prosser, Donna Herfurth, and Don Drummond; brother, Ted Jones; sisters, Dorothy O'Neil and Kathy Roberts; grandchildren, Ryan and Jesse.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Carolyn Jones; children, Barbara Jones Havron (Will Jr.), Peggy Sue Jones (Chuck), Todd Jones, Kristy Morgan (Travis); Terri Reece, Tracy Freeland, and Donna Colkitt; sisters, Gladys Ackerman, Betty Carman (Alan), and Kay Moore; brothers, Bobby Jones, Albert Jones, and Bill Jones; grandchildren, Devan, Mary and Nathan, Joshua and Renee, Jesse and Jenny, Jonathan and Lisa, Christopher, Daniel and Kat, Alyssa, Logan, Matthew, Kallie, Chandler, Caidin, Chesney, and Michael; great-grandchildren, Tucker, Harley, Bryson, Hadlee, Jessy, Mila, Lily, Gracie, Adday, Luke, Aubrey, Sterling, Atticus, Lilly, Chloe, and Ellie.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 20, 2024 at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Bellamy Funeral Home with Pastor Rickey Bice officiating. Interment to follow at Paulding Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, December 19, 2024 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm.
