Mr. Robert M. Hunt, age 85, of Smyrna, passed away Friday, February 21, 2025.

Mr. Hunt was born in October 1939 in Atlanta, GA, and was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Glenn C. and Algene Hunt. Sr. Robert served as a Lance Corporal in the U.S. Marines. He later retired from the Cobb County Fire Department after a 25-year career as a firefighter.

Survivors include his fiancée, Hazel Bennett of Smyrna; his son, Matt Hunt (Nan) of Bremen; daughter, Cindy H. Ingram of Adairsville; grandchildren, Sean Driscoll-Hunt of Rockmart, Bridgit de Lobaton, (née Driscoll-Hunt) of Kennesaw, Joshua Albertson (Amber) of Buford and Cierra (Heath) Poston of Euharlee; brother, Glenn C. Hunt, Jr. of Decatur; sisters, Marilyn Denham of Jonesboro and Janet Morgan (Ronnie) of Milner; and 8 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 3:00 pm at the Crest Lawn Memorial Park. Interment will follow at the cemetery.
