Obituary

Mr. Robert A. Creel, a beloved father & adored poppa, passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at the age of 65 at his home in Powder Springs, GA where he lived with his son.

He was born in Hartford, CT on January 12, 1955 and grew up in Willington, CT where he became a successful journeyman electrician for many of his younger years. But his true passion was when he entered the office furniture industry, where he rapidly advanced from the position of furniture installer to project manager. He became well known in this industry as an innovative business leader that people turned to for consultation and design techniques for corporate 500 companies in the Greater New England area. His first 20 years in the office furniture industry were spent with BKM in East Hartford, CT. He then ventured out as an entrepreneur in his own office furniture business for several years. The following 20 years were with SFI in South Windsor, CT. He ended his lifelong career at Coca-Cola in Atlanta, GA where he retired happily. His last years were spent enjoying time with his family.

He had a very strong faith in God and was an active member of his community and his church in E. Longmeadow, MA. Everyone grew to love him and his charitable, gift giving heart and could not help but be drawn to his magnetic personality and his ability to always make those around him smile and laugh at his antics.

He is survived by his 5 children: Nicole Tranter and her husband Bob of Duluth, GA; Jeremy Creel and his wife Christina of Enfield, CT; Tamar Creel and Jaelle Creel of Stafford Springs, CT; Paul Creel of Powder Springs, GA. He also leaves behind 8 wonderful grandkids whom he adored with all his heart. In addition he had 4 siblings: Arlene Thibault, Donald Creel, Paul Creel, Joyce Fitzgerald and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held in his honor in late spring 2021, date to be announced.

In lieu of flowers, charitable donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or other charitable organizations supporting children's causes.
