Richard Ernest Harris age 83 of Austell passed away Saturday Oct.4, 2014 at Wellstar Cobb Hospital.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 1:00pm at Bellamy Powder Springs Chapel with Rev. Dennis Bellamy officiating. Interment will follow at Powder Springs Cemetery. The Family will receive visitors at the funeral home Monday 6pm to 8pm.
He was a 62 year UAW member and had retired from the General Motors Assembly Plant in Doraville in 1982.
Survivors include; wife Carolyn Hendrick Harris. Children; Pam (Johnny) Pirkle of Sandy Springs, Ricky (Melanie) Harris of Cave Spring, Tammy (Jeff) Lester of Austell and Randy Harris of Clarkdale. Grandchildren; Stacey Holder, Steven (Angela) Holder, Jessi (Jason) Cordle, Jamie Harris, Chris and Dennis Lester; and 13 great grandchildren.
