Mrs. Rachel Ann Norment, age 42, of Rockmart passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2022.

Mrs. Norment was born on November 18, 1979 in Tampa, FL to Mr. Ricky Rooks and Mrs. Patricia Dianne Word. Rachel was the beloved wife and mother of 4 boys. She was a friend to everyone she met. Rachel worked for the Paulding County School District for the past 3 years but had been involved in PTA and volunteering at the school long before that. She was a member of the Congregational Methodist Church and had attended Wesley College in Florence, Mississippi. She loved kayaking, camping, swimming, and watching her boys play sports. She was preceded in death by her brother, Bryan Christopher Rooks and her mother-in-law, Rhonda Norment.

Survivors include her loving husband, Chris Norment of Rockmart; four sons, Jeffrey Norment, Jackson Norment, Mason Norment, and Morgan Norment all of Rockmart; parents, Ricky Lee Rooks (Cherie) of Plant City, FL and Patricia Dianne Word (Charles) of Ohatchee, AL; grandmother, Charlotte Ann Simpson; sister, Tracy Lynn Bishop; niece, Sarah Layton; nephew, Noah Poole.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 9, 2022 at 11:00am from the Chapel of Bellamy Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Paulding Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, September 8th from 4:00pm until 8:00pm.
