Mrs. Ollie G. Newton age 99 of Powder Springs passed away Friday September 23, 2016. Funeral Services will be held Monday at 1:00pm First Baptist Church of Powder Springs with Rev. Mike Woods officiating. Interment at Cheatham Hills Memorial Park. The Family will receive visitors Sunday 6pm-8pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Newton was a retired LPN from Emory Hospital and a member of the First Baptist Church of Powder Springs. She is preceded in death by her husband Harvey Newton, son Al Newton, daughter Jane Dill, son-in-law's Murray Barber and Bob Middleton, granddaughter's Karen Newton and Diane Dill, great grandson Chad Barber and great granddaughter Megan Newton.
Survivors include 2 daughters Dean Barber of Powder Springs and Marie Middleton of Buford, 1 son Jerry Newton of Ft. Payne, AL, 2 sisters Doris Washecheck of Piedmont, Ok, and Ina Statton of El Reno, OK. 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 11 great great-grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews.
