Mrs. Willie "Nell" Wright-Brooks, age 67, of Atlanta (formerly of Dallas) made her departure of life on Wednesday, October 13, 2021.

Mrs. Wright was born in Paulding County, GA on July 27, 1954 to the late Mr. Willie Wright and the late Mrs. Bertha Mae Jackson Hunter. In her early life she grew up in Paulding County, GA and later became a native of Atlanta. In her early childhood, she became ill and was hospitalized and admitted to a Catholic Hospital ran by nuns. After coming home, she graduated from Paulding County High School. She later attended the University of Georgia Tech, where she received her degree in Cosmetology and Culinary Arts. She found her love in taking care of others and found her soul in cooking. She's raised a host of kids as a nanny for many years. She was also known to grow a great vegetable garden. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wright was also preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Brooks; daughter, Melissa Wright; three sisters, Vickie Parker, Kathy Duncan, and Juanita Maxwell; two brothers, Jeffrey Wright and Calvin Black.

Survivors include her son, Michael Henderson; sisters, Carolyn Elliot, Betty Botts, and Christine Driver; brothers, Donnie Wright, Steve Wright, O'Neal Wright, and Stefan Wright; godsons, Richard Stewart, Robert Blue, Bryant Smith, Glenn Merritt, and Bradley Philpot; goddaughters, Kathy Sawyer and Sabrina Howard-Manning; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 3:00pm from the Chapel of Bellamy Funeral Home with Rev. Raymirron Jones officiating. After the service, Mrs. Wright will be cremated.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, October 23rd from 1:00pm until 3:00pm.
