Mrs. Nadine O. McNew, age 78, of Powder Springs, Georgia, died Saturday morning at her residence.

A native of Louisville, Kentucky, Mrs. McNew was born on May 27, 1943, daughter of the late John Grover Cottrell and Ruby Elizabeth Brumit Cottrell. She had lived most of her life in Powder Springs and was a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. McNew was employed with Lockheed - Martin in Marietta as an executive secretary. Her family was her entire life along with teaching Sunday School and working with the youth at church.

Survivors include her beloved husband, Mr. Larry L. McNew. One daughter, Michelle Pruitt. Three grandchildren, Taylor & Jessica Pruitt, Landen & Taylor Pruitt and Peyton Pruitt. One great grandchild, Kaden Pruitt.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at 3 p.m. from the chapel of Bellamy Funeral Home with Rev. Vermon Parmer officiating. Interment will follow in the Sweetwater Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
