Mrs. Myrtle Maxelene Gunnell, age 89, of Austell passed away Thursday, September 22, 2022.

Mrs. Gunnell was born on January 17, 1933 in Powder Springs, GA to the late Mr. Simmon Fain and the late Mrs. Bertha Mae McClure. Myrtle was a member of Clarkdale United Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, and camping when her children were younger. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Wendell Gunnell and her son, Tyler F. Gunnell.

Survivors include her two grandsons, Jared Gunnell (Nicole) and Trent Gunnell; four great grandchildren, Jordan, Preston, J.D., and Hope; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, September 25, 2022 at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Bellamy Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Bellamy officiating. Interment will follow at Powder Springs Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, September 24 from 3:00pm until 5:00pm
