Matthew Howard Hunter, age 68, of Marietta passed away Thursday April 9, 2026.

Mr. Hunter was born on March 1, 1958, to Gene and Regina Hunter. Mr. Hunter, a devoted husband and father, dedicated most of his time to being a great nurseryman but in his spare time he was always helping someone he loved. Mr. Hunter was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include Wife, Linda Hamer Hunter; Daughters, Beth Hunter, Marie Hunter and Jenny Lindenmayer; Mother, Regina Hunter; Brothers, Gene Hunter and Jeff Hunter; Sisters, Terri Wilkins and Tina Lampton; 5 Grandchildren; Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

Mr. Hunter will be cremated, and a service will be held at Bellamy Funeral Home, 3551 Jimmy Lee Smith Parkway, Hiram GA 30141 at 11:00 on May 9th, 2026. A celebration of his life will follow at his home, 3835 Sanders Rd. SW, Marietta GA 30008.

Flowers are most appropriate for his celebration, and if possible, live plants that can be used his memorial garden. Alternatively, donations for ALS support services & research groups, such as ALS Association, Emory ALS Center or ALS United Georgia in Mr. Matt Hunter's name would also be appreciated.
