Mrs. Mary Beth Dockery, age 58, of Dallas, died Saturday, October 3, 2020 at her residence following an extended illness.
A native of Annapolis, Maryland, Mary Beth was born on March 21, 1962, the daughter of the late Bob and Marilyn "Liz" Canon. She was a graduate of the University of California with a Master's degree in International Relations and after moving to Georgia, graduated from Georgia Tech with a Master's degree in Psychology. Prior to ill health, Mary Beth was employed with the Paulding County Board of Education working at Robert's Elementary School for many years. Being known as a spiritual person, she enjoyed the benefits of health and wellness along with taking long walks and day trips and enjoyed playing scrabble with her mother-in-law, Phyllis. She was married on July 28, 2001 to Timothy Dockery who survives.
Survivors include her husband, Mr. Timothy Dockery. One sister, Laura Mensendick of Ventura, California. Sister-in-law, Melanie Dockery Brown and her husband, Eric. Brother-in-law, Steve Dockery and his wife, Wendy. Her mother-in-law, Mrs. Phyllis Dockery. Two nephews; Brandon Dockery and Jarrett Brown.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 9, 2020 from 4p.m. until 6 p.m. at the Bellamy Funeral Home.
A private graveside service will be held for the immediate family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church or The Helping Hands Ministries.
