Mrs. Mary Alice Diggs, age 87, of Hiram, GA passed away Thursday, September 5, 2024.

Mrs. Diggs was born on July 7, 1937 in Moreland, GA to the late Mr. John D. Newman and the late Mrs. Effie Phillips Newman. Mary was a member of Westside Christian Church. She was a great mother and a Christian lady who loved her church. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Garth "Gene" D. Diggs; step-mother, Emma McKinney Newman.

Survivors include her sons, Ronald Eugene Diggs of New Georgia and John (Spider) Diggs (Jeanne) of Hiram; sister, Annette Brown (Fred) of New Georgia; grandchildren, Amanda Morton (Jessie), April Churchill (Jacob), Natalie, Jesse; and many great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, September 9, 2024 at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Bellamy Funeral Home with Pastor Gene Morehouse and Pastor Gary Diggs officiating. Interment to follow at Paulding Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, September 9, 2024 from 12:00pm until 2:00pm.
