Obituary

Mary Amerson Cooler passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 7th 2018. Mary was born, August 17th, 1922 in Elliott, SC and grew up in Sumter, SC.
Survivors include: Sons – Joe Cooler (Sylvia) of Austell, GA, Carl Martin Cooler of Marietta, GA, and Bruce Cooler (Melissa) of Smyrna, GA; Sister – Lois Russell (Wayne) Sumter, SC; Grandchildren – Brian Cooler (Stacey) of Charlotte, NC, Adam Cooler (Abbey) of Acworth, GA, Robert Cooler of Smyrna, GA and Jon Cooler (Amber) of Kennesaw, GA; Great Grandchildren – Zachary Cooler of Lynchburg, VA, Aubrey Cooler of Charlotte, NC, Ava Cooler of Acworth, GA, Anna Cooler of Acworth, GA and Cameron Cooler of Kennesaw, GA.
Many loving Nieces and Nephews.
Preceded in death by: Spouse – Homer Cooler
Sons – Lynn Allen Cooler and Sydney Homer Cooler
Parents – Martin Amerson and Mamie Bradley Amerson
Brothers – Collins Amerson, Sammie Amerson, Jule Amerson, Roland Amerson
Sister – Mildred Brown, Nanny Christmas, Hattie Christmas
She was a member of Baptist Church of Beaufort, Grays Hill Baptist of Burton, and Mableton First Baptist Church of Mableton, GA
She was a homemaker, but had worked at Manhattan Shirt Factory, lunchroom cook at Mossy Oaks Elementary, Garland Knitting Mills and The Christian Book Store in Beaufort.
She loved serving The Lord at every church she was a member of. She loved reading the bible out loud. She loved spending time with her family. She was a favorite with the caregivers at Bethel Gardens in Powder Springs Georgia since 2012 who loved her and cared for her until her death.
Flowers are optional. Donations can be made to: Mableton First Baptist Church, Bethel Gardens, Powder Springs or Alzheimer's Association.
Funeral Services will be held in Beaufort, SC.
