Mrs. Marie Lee (Simmons) Wilson, age 85 of Dallas, went to her Eternal Home on Thursday, February 15, 2018, surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Wilson was an active, committed member of Post Oak Baptist Church and a retiree of Lockheed. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and close friends. She always made a friend everywhere she went, and her smile could light up a room from the moment she walked into it. It was impossible for the Braves to play a game without her watching, even if that meant staying up into the early morning hours to catch a West Coast game. Her dazzle for life will be missed here, but we know she is wearing her best "bling" in Heaven.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Perry J. Wilson, Jr. She is survived by her son, Larry Roach, and daughter-in-law, Katy Roach, of Pennsylvania; 2 sisters, Polly Harris and Gail Doss, both of Powder Springs; 3 grandchildren, Patrick Roach and his wife Abbey Roach of Pennsylvania and Kristin Roach of Tennessee, along with her niece and nephews, Ken Harris, Craig Harris, Rob Doss, Sarah Doss, and Jeff Scarborough.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday at Bellamy Chapel in Hiram at 2:00pm. Rev. Billy Moss and Rev. Todd Chatham will be officiating. Internment will be held at Powder Springs Memorial Gardens. The family will receive visitors Saturday from 6:00pm to 8:00pm and Sunday from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at the funeral home.
