M G Cook

M G Cook, age 98, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away on August 11, 2026. He was born on April 18, 1928 in Porterdale, Georgia and was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Cook and his mother, Ineal Holloway Cook.

He loved the Atlanta Braves and his neighbors. M G also loved going the senior center and going on trips with them.

Survivors include his children, Shelia Pettit and her husband, Ronnie, Patricia Ann McKiness, Brenda Joyce Campbell, Sharon Yvonne Allen, Teresa Ann Leatherwood and her husband, Mike and Timmy Cook. 13 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 14, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of Bellamy Funeral Home in Hiram, Georgia with Pastor Joshua Boatwright officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until the service time. The interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Gardens in Jonesboro.
