Lila Lee Eagle, of Hiram, Georgia was born on September 5, 1940. She lived an amazing 85 years and touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2025. She was born in Bessemer, Alabama to the late Henry Myrie Nixon and Velma Myrtle Jeffcoat Nixon and was the last surviving of 10 children of which were 7 brothers and 2 sisters.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, William James "Jimmy" Eagle III, her son, Brent William Eagle and her brothers and sisters.

Lila met her husband William James Eagle III (Jimmy) while working at the phone company. Lila and Jimmy were married an amazing 60 years. Lila wore many hats. She went to school to be an EMT, worked for the Police department, the phone company and in the school's lunchroom. She ran concession stands and lead cheerleading events. Lila was an amazing cook, gardner and baker, which anyone who spent time in her home quickly learned, and which drew many to accidentally visit at lunch or dinner time.

Lila is probably known best as an amazing homemaker and mother, Mom, as she was known to most, and Mama to her children who took care of everyone. Family, kids, grandkids, their friends, and anyone who walked in her front door was always welcomed and loved. That is why many know her as Mom and called her that even when we have our own mothers.

The greatest love of Mom's life was Jesus. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church for 30 years. Lila loved Jesus with all of her heart and soul and even as she knew her time was coming she expressed comfort in knowing where she was going. She knew that she was going to see the face of Jesus when she passed and she would be reunited with her husband, Jimmy, her sister Myrie, and all of us again one day.  She will be remembered by all that knew her.

Survivors include her children, Barry James Eagle, Bruce Harold Eagle, Becky Michelle Robinson and husband, Jeff and Bonni Lee Howell (Kevin); grandchildren, Elizabeth Eagle Parker, Joshua Eagle, Elaine Eagle, Jennifer Eagle Hammonds (Donny), Ashley Robinson Tressel (Mac), Jaron Eagle (Christa), Charles Robinson (Desirea), Jarus Eagle (Ashley), Blake Eagle, Brandon Eagle (Kayla), Savannah Robinson, Mason Howell (Chloe') and Ashlynn Carroll; 24 great-grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Bellamy Funeral Home with Mr. Butch Wilson officiating. The interment will follow in Paulding Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. until the service time.
