Lester A Goodsell Jr
1936 - 2025

On October 8, 2025, Lester A Goodsell Jr, left this world for a better place. Lester died at 5:15am. Lester was born on March 18, 1936 at 5:30am. He was born to Lester A Goodsell Sr age 23, and Edith Elizabeth Ward age 19, in Washington, DC. He has a younger sister, Betty Stephens, and a younger brother, Dennis Goodsell. He married his wife Donna Rae Goodsell born January 14, 1938 in Modesto CA on August 23, 1957.

He has three children, David P Goodsell born June 28, 1959, Diane Goodsell born October 26, 1961, and Daryl Goodsell born December 31,1966. Lester has 4 grandchildren, Amber Goodsell, Brandi Montgomery, Kathryn Goodsell and Austin Goodsell. Lester has two great grandchildren, great granddaughter Kailey age 14, great grandson Walker age 2 1/2 and two great grandsons (identical twins) on the way. Oliver and Marshall

Lester lived a good and happy life, and as with everyone, he had his ups and downs, but that only made him stronger. Lester graduated college from the University of California with an Electrical Engineering degree. Lester worked for RCA electronics for many years. He worked at White Sands Missile Range, when Lester and his family lived in El Paso TX. Lester moved to Burbank CA, still with RCA, working at Walt Disney. Lester was involved with the RCA/Disney project Space Mountain for the soon to open Walt Disney World. In 1971, Lester with his family moved from Burbank, CA to Orlando, FL, so he could finish the Space Mountain project. Once Space Mountain was finished, he was laid from RCA, and he was immediately hired by Disney. He spent the next 30 years working for Disney. He retired, and with his wife Donna did some traveling, until her stroke. It was hard for her to travel as much, but they did come visit their sons in Georgia. David and Daryl. Donna his wife died in 2020. She was laid to rest at Paulding Memorial Gardens in Hiram, GA.  Lester will be laid to rest in a Niche next to her on January 22, 2026

Lester also leaves behind the spouses of his children and grandchildren.
