We are saddened to announce the passing of Larry Pruitt, who left this world on December 23, 2024, at the age of 79 in Dallas, Georgia. Larry lived a full and joyful life surrounded by his loving family.

Born, October 17, 1945, Larry was born in Gadsden Alabama and was surrounded by a large family of several Aunts, Uncles and cousins whom he was all very close with. Larry is preceded in death by his mother and father, Lonnie B (1993) and Mary Irene (1998) and brother Jimmy (2022).

In 1966, Larry married the love of his life, Lynn Pruitt, and together they raised three wonderful children: Kimberly Golden wife of Donnie, Larry Wayne Pruitt Jr. husband to Kelli, and Christopher Pruitt husband to Darlene. Larry was also blessed with 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren whom he adored. He is also survived by his loving brother Gary and his wife Gail.

Throughout his life, Larry worked in construction, where he accomplished many goals and awards. After a long and successful career, Larry retired in 2017. Larry loved painting and woodworking. His creations will continue to be cherished by all who knew him. He also shared an immense fandom of the University of Georgia Football team.

Larry will be remembered for his hearty laugh, his kind heart, and his unwavering love for his family. He brought light and laughter wherever he went, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Though he may be gone, Larry will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who loved him. May he rest in peace, knowing he was cherished beyond measure.

Visitation will be held at Bellamy Funeral Home in Hiram, Ga on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 2 PM, followed by a memorial service at 3 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family would like all donations to go to the Alzheimer's Association or National Kidney Foundation .
