Rev. Lamar Newton Bone, age 72, of Powder Springs passed away Sunday, July 10, 2022.
Rev. Bone was born on April 4, 1950 in Austell, GA to the late Mr. Herbert Bone and the late Mrs. Estelle Williams Bone. Rev. Bone grew up in Paulding County and was a Dallas High School graduate. He was retired from Lockheed Martin, where he worked as a supervisor. He received his calling to preach the Gospel and was licensed through Peoples Baptist Church of Georgia on April 11, 2010. Lamar enjoyed drag racing and loved classic cars. In addition to his parents, Lamar was preceded in death by his son, Brian Jordan; sisters, Margie Moss and Faye Bowlin; brother, Roger Bone.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Linda Bone of Powder Springs; daughter, Amber St. John (Trey) of Dallas; step-daughters, Jo Mahan (Rick) of Dallas and Leigh Anne Lewis of Rockmart; sister, Sarah Chambers (David) of Powder Springs; six grandchildren, Kristina, Dayton, Hunter, Parker, Jackson, and Andrew; one great-grandson, Brayden.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, July 17, 2022 at 3:00pm from the Chapel of Bellamy Funeral Home with Pastor Billy Hooper, Rev. Dennis Bellamy, and Pastor Danny Cordell officiating.
A fellowship of friends and family will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, July 17th from 2:00pm until 3:00pm.
In Lieu of Flowers donations may be made to St. Jude's in memory of Rev. Lamar Bone.
