Mr. John David Comer, age 80, of Dallas passed away Thursday, February 24, 2022.

Mr. Comer was born on October 1, 1941 in Trion, GA to the late Mr. John N. Comer and the late Mrs. Maggie Belle Gilbreath Comer. John D. was a general manager for Henson's Body Shop and worked there for over 40 years. He was also the owner and operator of Roadside Thrift Store. He was of Baptist Faith and enjoyed sharing the love of Jesus with everyone. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed watching NASCAR. In addition to his parents, Mr. Comer was also preceded in death by his first wife, Mrs. Donna Lane Comer and his brother, Joe Comer.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Helen Comer; children, Amy Lynn Comer, John Gregory Comer (Anna), Gail Kennedy (John), and George Maddox Jr.; sister, Margaret Gee; brother, Rev. Richard Comer (Patty); eight grandchildren, Matthew Comer, Madison Gates (Tyler), Isabella Usrey, Gabriella Usrey, Chad Cain, Jeffrey Kato, Amy Bohannon, and Scotty Maddox; four great-grandchildren, Weston Gates, Carson Gates, Patience Bohannon, and Noble Bohannon.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 5th at 1:00pm at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Comer officiating. Interment will follow at Powder Springs Cemetery. Prior to the memorial service, Mr. Comer will be cremated.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, March 4th from 6:00pm until 8:00pm and on Saturday, March 5th at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church from 12:00pm until 1:00pm.

In Lieu of Flowers donations may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children.
