Mrs. JoAnn Thompson, age 83, of Hiram passed away Saturday, January 27, 2024.

Mrs. Thompson was born on February 15, 1940 in Riverdale, GA to the late Mr. Tommie Wylie and Mrs. Gladys Wylie. JoAnn was a member of Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Ailton Hilton Thompson.

Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Barnswell; sons, Larry Thompson, Lorenzo Thompson (Cheryl), and Jeffery Thompson; eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; as well as a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, February 5, 2024 at 11:00am from Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Jeffrey Wimbush officiating. Mrs. Thompson will lie-in-state at the church on Monday from 10:00am until the service time. Interment to follow at Paulding Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Bellamy Funeral Home on Sunday, February 4, 2024 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm.
