Mr. Jimmie David Gittens Sr., age 74, of Dallas passed away Sunday, January 24, 2021.

Mr. Jimmie Gittens Sr. was born on September 30, 1946 to the late Guy Gittens and the late Edna Clyde Daniel Gittens. Mr. Gittens Sr. was affectionally known as "PawPaw G". He was a hard worker who loved to travel. He enjoyed playing pool and loved sports car. He was loved by his great-grandchildren and was very loved by all who knew him.

Mr. Gittens Sr. was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Edna Gittens and daughter, Pamela Byrd.

Survivors include his son, Jimmie Gittens Jr. (Denisse) of Dallas; sisters, Christine Smith and Jean Johnson; brother, Lamar Gittens; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Friday, January 29, 2021 at 1:00pm at Crestlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Bill Smith officiating. Interment to follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 27th from 6-8pm and Thursday, January 28th from 6-8pm.
