Mr. Jeril Duran "JD" Hamby, age 77, of Powder Springs passed away Thursday, March 11, 2021.

Mr. Hamby was born on June 21, 1943 to the late Mr. Paul Hamby and the late Mrs. Edith Cordise Hamby. Mr. Hamby was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and a truck driver for O'Reilly Auto Parts. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Edith Hamby; and brother, Douglas Hamby.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Hamby of Powder Springs; sons, Scott Hamby of Powder Springs and Chris Hamby (Beata) of Raeford, NC; one step-grandson, Dennis.

Per Mr. Hamby's wishes, he will be cremated and there are no planned services at this time.
