Mr. James Earnest Beal Sr., age 74, of Powder Springs passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2022.
Mr. Beal, who was affectionately known as Jimmy, was born on June 18, 1947 in Atlanta, GA to the late Mr. Earnest Macon Beal and the late Mrs. Martha Mae Taylor Beal. Mr. Beal was the co-owner and operator of J&M Drywall. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend to many. He proudly served in the United States Army and married his beloved wife, Mrs. Patricia Joyce England Beal on September 29, 1969. He was a faithful member of Hiram First Baptist Church, where he volunteered at Celebrate Recovery. He was a soul winner for Jesus and was a world traveler, leading many people to Jesus Christ. Mr. Beal was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Earnest Beal and Mrs. Martha Beal.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Mrs. Patricia Beal; daughter, Sonja Bryant (Jamie); three sons, Jimmy Beal Jr. (Dana), Scotty Beal (Kelly), and Bobby Beal (Marie); two brothers, Jerry Beal and Marvin Beal; fifteen grandchildren, Nikki Beal, Trey Beal, Joie Brown (Fred), Jay Beal, Austin Beal, Kara Nicholson (Alex), Brayden Bryant, Baylee Bryant, Joshua Franklyn, Jenna Beal, Nick Beal, Ethan Bryant (Layah), Dylan Beal, Jeremiah Franklyn, and Elizabeth Beal; three great-grandchildren, Blakely Beal, Cayden James, and Luna Bryant; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday, January 9, 2022 at 2:00pm from Hiram First Baptist Church with Pastor Joe Holcomb and Mr. Tom Payne officiating. Interment to follow at Sweetwater Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, January 8th from 4:00pm until 8:00pm and at the church on Sunday, January 9th from 1:00pm until the service hour.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Hiram First Baptist Church Building Fund. Checks can be mailed to Hiram First Baptist Church at 4211 Hiram Sudie Rd, Hiram, GA 30141, attention Building Fund.
