James Lee Bailey (known as Bob to family and friends) was born in his home state of Texas, the youngest of six children. He joined the military at 17 and served in World War II and Korea, although he rarely spoke of his wartime experiences until late in life. He was a gentle giant who dealt with life's ups and downs with a dry sense of humor and quiet courage. He cared deeply about his family and friends, his country and all animals and was respected and admired by many. He is survived by his daughter Rheba Bailey of Los Angeles CA, his stepdaughter Mary Foster of Hiram, who with her husband Mike, cared lovingly for him in his later years and his stepson Doug. He will not be forgotten. Rest well in heaven, Dad, you've earned it.
