Mr. James Clyde Atkinson, age 79, of Kennesaw passed away Friday, October 13, 2023.

Mr. Atkinson was born on November 1, 1943 in Atlanta, GA. James proudly served in the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his mother, Annie Mae Carney Baker; wife, Peggy Joyce Atkinson; brother, John Atkinson; sister, Inez Watson.

Survivors include his daughter, Jennifer Iosca (Ray) of Dallas; five sisters, Ruth Auzene of Powder Springs, Shirley Kennedy of Acworth, Mattie Gathright (Bill) of Jasper, Evelyn Atkinson of Marietta, and Denise Baker of Dallas; two granddaughters, Zoe and Nadia Iosca.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at 10:30am from the Chapel of Bellamy Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Atkinson officiating. Interment to follow at Georgia National Cemetery at 1:30pm.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 24th from 9:30am until 10:30am.
