Alice Inez Jennings age 93 of Clarkdale passed away Wednesday August 6, 2014. Funeral Services will be held 11:00am Saturday August 9, 2014 at Bellamy Chapel Powder Springs. Interment will follow at Powder Springs Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 6pm-8pm Friday August 8 at Bellamy Funeral Home Powder Springs. Preceded in death by husband of over 50 years Warren Pinky Jennings and son Kenneth Jennings.
Survivors Include: Caregiver and Grandson Corey (Stefanie) Jennings,1 Daughter: Joy (Joe) Holtzclaw of Powder Springs. 3 Sisters: Margaret McKenney of Austell, Carolyn Harris of Austell, Linda Brantley of Powder Springs, and 1 Brother Benny Hendrick of Austell. Grandchildren: Michael Holtzclaw, Cindy Chapman, Roxanne Burr, Matthew Holtzclaw and Kari Jennings. 9 Great Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews.
She lived all of her adult life in the Coats & Clark cotton mill village in Clarkdale, GA. The cotton mill was the source of her livelihood as her husband retired from there. Her greatest joy in life was her visitors. She could talk for hours with them. She loved visiting the ocean. She liked decorating for Halloween and Christmas. She loved having children around. She loved her yellow bell and snow ball bushes. Her pets were a source of delight to her, she had a variety through the years. In her later years she found the travel channel to be a way to see the world. Her grandchildren enhanced her life dramatically, she cherished times they spent with her. She enjoyed attending services at both the Methodist and the Baptist Church in Clarkdale.
