Harry Blaine Whittemore, age 74, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away Saturday, March 2, 2024.

Harry was born on February 2, 1950 in Ashville, NC to the late Vance Fred Whittemore and the late Elizabeth Roberts Whittemore.  Harry was a Residential Home Builder in Cobb, Paulding, and Cherokee counties for over 25 years.  He owned Powder Creek Construction Company, Whittemore Homes, and Timber Creek Grading.  Harry enjoyed the building business because it allowed him to work together with his wife, sons, and daughter-in-law.  In his free time, Harry enjoyed restoring antique cars, listening to Elvis, gardening, and any activity that involved his grandchildren.

Harry is survived by his wife of 55 years, Louise "Snooky" Whittemore of Powder Springs; sons Scott Whittemore (Leah) of Acworth and Heath Whittemore of Dallas, grandchildren; Brooke Whittemore, Mary Ashlee Thomas (Jake), Matthew Whittemore, Haylee Whittemore, Hayden Whittemore, and Bethany Whittemore, sisters Diana Weintraub of Powder Springs, Verona Pruett of Marietta, and the late Fran Turner of Powder Springs, brother; Roger Whittemore of Marietta; nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, March 10, 2024 at 4:00pm from the chapel of the Bellamy Funeral Home with Dr. Richard Walker officiating.  Entombment to follow at Paulding Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, March 10, 2024 from 2:00pm until the service hour.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research in Harry's memory.
