Mr. Gene Carter, age 56, of Hiram passed away Friday, January 20, 2023.

Mr. Carter was born on October 19, 1966. Gene was a member of New Harmony Primitive Baptist Church. He loved going to church, fishing, and music.

Survivors include his father, Paul Eugene Carter Jr. (Judy) of Austell; mother, Joan Croker Gray (Ernest) of Hiram; sister, Chris Newbern (Stacy) of Cedar Bluff, AL; two nephews, Brandon Elrod (Jessica) of Tallapoosa and Michael Elrod (Taylor) of Powder Springs; two great-nephews, Owen Samanie Elrod and Charlie Elrod.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at 3:00pm from New Harmony Primitive Baptist Church with Brother Jodie Cole officiating. Interment to follow at New Harmony Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at New Harmony Primitive Baptist Church from 12:00pm until 3:00pm.
