Mrs. Emma Lou Nowell, age 85, of Powder Springs passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2023.

Mrs. Nowell was born on November 11, 1938 in Nashville, GA to the late Mr. Hardy Stevens Sr. and the late Mrs. Mittie Adams Stevens. Emma was a member of Hiram First Baptist Church, where she served on the Benevolence Committee. She enjoyed camping. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, Dewayne Nowell and her brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Donnie Cecil Nowell of Powder Springs; daughter, Dianne and Al Gay of Dallas; sister, Mattie Lou McLendon of Powder Springs; daughter-in-law, Melanie Nowell;  grandchildren, Brooke Long (Skip), Clay Fambro (Nikki), Adam Gay, Donnie Nowell Jr., Carla Nowell, Owen Satterfield, Holly Satterfield, Michael Fambro, and Mika Fambro.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, November 20, 2023 at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Bellamy Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Holcomb officiating and Al Gay, Clay Fambro, Skip Long, Owen Satterfield, Michael Fambro, and Donnie Nowell serving as pallbearers. Interment to follow at Mountain View Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, November 20th from 12:00pm until 2:00pm.
