Edgar Alan Walters, 76, of Rockmart, GA passed away on March 27. 2020. He was born February 21, 1944 to Frank and Emma Walters of Moselle, MS. He was a turbine engineer with General Electric (GE) before he retired in 2011. In addition to be a loving father and brother, he loved riding motorcycles, fishing, ice cream and spending time with family. Mr. Walters was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Laura Walters, his parents, his brothers - David Walters and Stephen Walters, and his sister Linda Walters Hubbard. He is survived by his children - Dawn (Tony) Burtram of Powder Springs, and Tom (Cindy) Walters of Acworth, siblings – Bruce Walters of Ardmore, AL, Betty Walters of St. Louis, MO, Paul Walters of Purvis, AL, Dean Walters of Moselle, MS, and Kathi Walters Talley of Farmerville, LA and their families. His laughter will be sorely missed.
Funeral services are postponed due to social distancing requirements at this time. Details will be posted to Facebook once it is scheduled.
