Mrs. Doris Jakobs, age 91, of Dallas, GA passed away Saturday, May 14, 2022.

Mrs. Jakobs was born on November 1,1930 in Brooklyn, NY. Doris was retired from University of Miami and Miami VA, where she worked as a medical secretary for over 30 years. She was a beloved mother and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her mother, Lillian Sinus; father, John Elliott; husband, Joseph O'Gara; long-time companion, Bob Vilaro; brother, Jerry Devoursney; and grandson, Chris Bogdan.

Survivors include two daughters, Maureen Bogdan (Frank) of Dallas and Debbie O'Gara Schultz of Dania, FL; son, Joe O'Gara (Nanette) of Loxahatchee, FL; brother, Tom Devoursney of West Palm Beach, FL; six grandchildren, Mike Bogdan (Twiggi), Brad Schultz, Scott Schultz, Tina O'Gara, Katie O'Gara, and Nick O'Gara (Leata); four great-grandchildren, Devin Martinez, Cassie Bogdan, Ethan O'Gara, and Ryan O'Gara; as well as nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, May 20, 2022 at 6:00pm from the Chapel of Bellamy Funeral Home with Deacon Bradford Young officiating.
