Mr. Donovan Anthony Bigby was born May 17th 1961, in St. James Jamaica, to the late Ted Bigby and the late Nelsia Marcus Bigby. He was known by the nickname 'Wayne'' by families and friends. From a young age, he had an infectious and lovable personality. He always had a smile on his face. Wayne grew up as a child in Jamaica before coming to the United States. He grew up on 53rd St in Brooklyn where many lifelong friendships were formed; they were all known as the 53rd Crew.
Wayne met and married his best friend, Dawnalyn. They resided in Brooklyn ,NY, and then Babylon, NY, and together they raised 3 beautiful Daughters; Antoinette , Sherry Ann and Danesha. He was an avid NY JETS fan , he also loved playing basketball. He worked at the King County District Attorney office for many years before moving with his family to Powder Springs, GA. He worked with Cobb County Schools, in Transportation, until 2020 when he retired. He had an easy going personality and was always smiling. He was loved by the young and the old.
Wayne was a great son, husband , father , grandfather and friend. Words can't describe how much he will be missed. He will always live forever in our heart.
He is survived by his Best friend and wife: Dawnalyn. Mother in law: Gloria Fraser. Daughters: Antoinette Richards(Jermile), Sherry Ann Emanuel (Seon), Danesha Bigby (Bobby Melvin). Grandchildren: Jayson, Katelyn, Sven and Jeremiah. Brothers: Lynval Spence (Veronica), Patrick Bigby, Errol Bigby and Hopeton
Bigby. Sisters: Charmaine Bigby-Shakespeare (Winston), Elaine Thelwell (Rocky) , Grace Bigby-Love and Lorine Samuels. He is survived by a multitude of nieces, nephews , cousins, and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 12:30pm from the Chapel of Bellamy Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Daniel officiating. Interment to follow at Paulding Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, April 2nd from 10:30am until 12:30pm.
