Derah Maurine Wilkinson Carter, age 67, of Dallas passed away June 29, 2020. A family service will be held at Paulding Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include: Husband – Kie Carter; Son – Avery V. Carter of Greenville, SC; Daughter – Merrinda C. Long of Atlanta; Brother – Robert and Sueko Wilkinson of Okinawa; Granddaughter – Danielle Ridings; Great Grandchild – Dallas Dark Porter.

Derah enjoyed traveling, shooting pool and simply spending time with her husband. She served 30 years as a para-professional in the Paulding County School System. She loved her students and her work brought her much joy. Derah was a loving wife, mother and friend.
