Mr. D.B. Grant age 88 of Dallas, GA formerly of Hartford, Connecticut passed away Friday September 29th, 2017.
Graveside Services will be held Saturday October 14, 2017 at Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens 1:30pm. The Family will receive visitors Saturday October 14th at Bellamy Funeral Home Hiram at 11am. Apostle Dale Osburn officiating.
Mr. Grant was a member of the Independent United Order of Mechanics - Ben Hur Grand Lodge; Hartford's Cricket Hall of Fame-Sportsman's Athletic Club and Hartford Currant 1994 "Father of the Year".
He is preceded in death by his wife Evadnie Grant, brother James Grant, sister Gracian Grant and grandson Tyler Greene.
Survivors include his two daughters; Sylvia Grant of Hartford, CT, and Leonie Grant of Dallas, GA; his son, Daswell Christie of Hartford, CT; his sister, Hazel Davis of Clarendon, Jamaica; three grandchildren, Cassandra Christie of Ft Lauderdale, FL, Déjàv? Thomas of Hartford, CT, and Taylor Grant-Parker of Dallas, GA; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations maybe made to Bellamy Funeral Home or the go fund me account set up by family to assist with funeral expense.
