Obituary

David Gullatte, age 87, of Smyrna passed away February 16, 2015. Graveside services will be held Tuesday Feb. 24th at 1:00pm at Georgia National Cemetery.
He was born and lived most of his life in Dayton Ohio. Mr. Gullatte's greatest passions in life were his wife of 50 years and his art work. He retired in 1987 from Wright Patterson Air Force Base as a commercial artist. He left the family with a rich legacy of paintings and sketches that will always be treasured. He had an eye for beauty. At the height of his career he was commissioned to create a oil painting of the Galloway cabin for the Greene County Historical Society. He also was commissioned to paint a portrait of Eugene Williams Kettering, founder of Charles F. Kettering Memorial Hospital.
He met Wanda in second grade elementary school and said "one day she will be my wife".
He is preceded in death by his parents Willie and Minnie Gullatte, his 2 brothers Willie and Eddie and his 2 sisters Becky and Minnie.
He is survived by his wife Wanda Gullatte of Smyrna his daughter Michele Bugg (Michael) of Smyrna and 2 grandchildren Selena Jackson and Joshua Bugg and a host of nieces and nephews.
