Rev. Danny Cordell, age 56, of Austell, GA passed away Sunday, April 28, 2024.

Rev. Cordell was born on January 22, 1968 in Akron, Ohio to Mr. Thomas Joseph Cordell and Mrs. Eileen Flynn Johnson. Danny worked as an assistant branch manager for Associated Packaging. He was the pastor of South Cobb Baptist Church in Austell for the past eight years. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Joseph Cordell.

Survivors include his wife, Lisa Cordell of Austell; son, Jon Shelton of Athens; mother, Eileen Johnson (Harold); fur baby, Coco.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, May 2, 2024 at 3:00pm from the Chapel of Bellamy Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Post and Dr. Jason Loudermilk officiating. Interment to follow at Paulding Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm.
