Mr. Chris Ellis, age 65, of Powder Springs passed away Friday, December 20, 2024.

Mr. Ellis was born on July 26, 1959 in Decatur, GA. Chris was the owner and operator of DRB Electrical. He was a graduate of Hapeville High School and graduated as a certified diamond grader from the Gemologist Institute of America. He was a drag racer and loved racing. He also loved motorcycles. He was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Howard Ellis; sisters, Gloria Joyce Mitchell and Cynthia Renee Stinchcomb; brother, Bruce Arnold Ellis.

Survivors include his son, Christopher Leland Ellis (Katie); sister-in-law, Joan Tracey Ellis; brother-in-law, James Frank Mitchell; nephew, Franklin Chad Mitchell; niece, Billi Jo Mitchell; niece, Suzanna Lane Mitchell; great-nephew, Austin Wylie Mitchell.

A Graveside Service will be held Friday, January 3, 2025 at 1:00pm from Sherwood Memorial Park. Interment to follow at the cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, January 2, 2025 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to American Diabetes Association.
