Mr. Charles Robert "Bob" Burkett age 91 of Powder Springs died Monday April 21, 2014 Funeral Services will be held Thursday April 22 at 2:00pm First United Methodist Church of Powder Springs, Rev. Roger Vest officiating. Interment at Powder Springs Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at the Church Thursday 12 to 2:00 pm .
Mr. Burkett is preceded in death by his wife Dot Burkett, his son Benji and his daughter Beth Burkett.
He is survived by 1 sister Patricia Young of Ohio, Nieces and Nephews and many Special Friends. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Powder Springs, retired from the Postal Service and was President of the Rural Mail Carriers Association. He was involved with the Boy Scouts, Powder Springs Youth Organization, Mc Eachern Football and worked at Sun Valley Beach.
