Carolyn Jane (Meredith) Baldwin, age 72, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2023.

Carolyn, also affectionately known as CJ, was born on March 28, 1950 in Whites Mill of Abingdon, VA to the late Mr. Charles and Mrs. Elizabeth Meredith. CJ devoted her life to God and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church of Paulding County, GA. She was also a member of Paulding County Fine Arts and the American Writers Society. CJ loved traveling, writing, painting, dancing, and arts and crafts. She retired from Zayre Corporation in 1985 and then worked for New Vision optical for 13 years until 2016 when she fully retired. In addition to her parents, CJ was also preceded in death by her brothers, David Meredith and Allen Meredith; sister, Kathleen Burns, two nephews, Scotty Meredith and Adam Emory; granddaughter, Sarah Martin.

Survivors include her only daughter, Patty Baldwin (Kevin); two brothers, Wayne Meredith (Wanda) and Gary Meredith (Janie); granddaughters, Jessica Easley (Marcellus), Melissa Whaley (Aaron), Carolyn Williamson (Justin); twelve great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and loving friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 3:00pm from Tabernacle Baptist Church located at 3454 Jimmy Lee Smith Parkway Hiram, GA 30141 with Pastor Rodney Carson officiating. Interment to follow at Paulding Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Tabernacle Baptist Church from 2:00pm until 3:00pm.
